Subway Surfers World Tour: Underwater is the 162nd edition of the Subway Surfers World Tour and the 167th edition of Subway Surfers.

Koral gets a new look, a new animation, and a new outfit: the Tenta - Queen Outfit, and Noel also gets a new outfit: the Deep Blue Outfit.

The Marathon Challenge takes place in , the Hoverboard Challenge takes place in , the Tag Time Attack takes place in Template:ChangAn2023Marathon, the Mystery Hurdles take place in , and later released the 2nd Tag Time Attack in .

The characters who do not surf/breathe underwater, except robots, Koral, Cathy, Noel, and later, Finn and Electra in , get breathing bubbles around their head.

This update has the most background animations in the subway.
When surfers run, fly, or swim past the giant kraken, it can be randomly active (eye opens, tentacles appear) or inactive (eye closes tentacles disappear with glowing fish).

This is the second update to have tentacles on the city icon and graffiti, the first being .
This is the first edition since to not have a feature update.
The season ended a few hours early ending at 7 PM (etc) instead of 12 AM (etc).
On April Fools (Only on April 1) all game modes were replaced by / except the one Tag Time Attack that was still on .
This update was called Underwater City and still is in the Official Music Audio Video on SYBO TV but it is shortened to Underwater.
This city is called “Underwater World” in the files.
This is the first 2023 update to not have a feature update.
