Subway Surfers World Tour: Istanbul is the 190th World Tour edition of Subway Surfers and 192nd installment of the game. This update releases two new surfers: Kedi and Ruhi, 2 new outfits for Zi Hao and Mala: Vanilla Strawberry & Miss Mosaic, and 3 new boards: Couch Surfer, Catalyst, and Flash of Flavor.

The Marathon Challenge take place in , the Tag Time Attack takes place in , the Mystery Hurdles takes place in , the Season Challenge takes place in , the Classic Mode takes place in , the Back to School Challenge takes place in , and Floor Is Lava: No Floor Challenge takes place in .

The Season Hunt token are Tea Glasses ().

- On the European side, Türkiye is the 16th European country to included in the game, after Italy, France, Russia, United Kingdom, Greece, Romania, the Netherlands, Denmark, Spain, Iceland, Germany, Switzerland, Czech Republic, Monaco and Ireland.
- On the Asian side, it is the 10th Asian country to included in the game, after China, Russia, South Korea, Japan, India, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Singapore and Thailand.
- However, Istanbul is the only edition to be located entirely in two continents. (Russia’s cities, and are both entirely in Europe)
This is also the 2nd edition to taken place in a transcontinental country in the game's history, after Russia; the country was also a transcontinental state, with the Western side bordering Europe and the Eastern side (mostly Siberia) bordering Asia.
Kedi and Ruhi have the same animations as Rin and Dragon, making it the 16th update after (Frankette - Rabbot), (J Balvin - Prince K), (Vivienne - Ramona), (Thunder - Maeko), (Azura - Diego), (Astra - Spike), (Lucky - Ace and Red Panda - Dino), (Faiza - Zi Hao), (Electra - Buzz), (Riley - Catrine), (Glorgalax - Buzz and Ventura - Carlos), (Leo - Hou), (Ozzy - Nicolai) and (Billy Bean - Manny) to reuse animations.
- This is the 3rd update to release more than 1 new surfer to reuse animations, after and .
- This is the first edition where the new characters don't have any original animations.
This is the first edition since to not get leaked (except in-game mailbox teaser).
So far, is the first and only World Tour that doesn't have a character with any original animations in the 1st time it released.
This is the first 2024 edition to have a new character reuse the animations from other characters of the same year (Ruhi - Dragon).
This is the fourth location to take place in a Middle East country, after , , and . (Although isn’t in the Middle Eastern side as it’s far in Western of Turkey/Türkiye).
This edition celebrates the Hispanic Heritage Month.
Every surfer came back in this update, except Taha for unknown reasons. Probably because he was only recently re-released in the previous update of .
- He also had just gotten a new outfit (Chili Taha) in that update.
After this edition, Mode hasn't reappeared.
- This is also the last edition of 2024 to include Mode.
  - Technically, it returned in , but as a Marathon challenge instead of Classic Mode.
Bugs and Fixes:
- Zi Hao and Mala's Outfits textures are bugged in Subway Studio.
- When you buy something, after receiving it, it shows you that you can buy again, but you can't.
- In Subway Studio, Mala and Zi Hao are t-posing and when you click onto another character (for e.g Audrey), they will mimic that characters pose. This was later fixed in V3.35.1. This happened again with Dummy and Thursday in , and Clementine in .
- In 3.35.1, Morgan's RIM Light in her Swamp Mystery Outfit is bugged, even when you make her jumping. Also with that glitch, if you're in Subway Studio and you turn her around, she will be back to normal until you put her back to her original form. This was later fixed in 3.36.0.
