Subway Surfers World Tour: Haunted Hood is the 172nd World Tour of Subway Surfers and the 177th installment of the game. This update releases two new characters: Thursday and Outatime Jake, a new outfit for Scarlett called Botanical Horror Outfit and two new boards: Flaming Doll and Back to the Future and a new game mode: Plant Invasion: No Floor Challenge.

The Marathon Challenge take place in and , the Tag Time Attack take place in , the Hoverboard Challenge take place in , the Mystery Hurdles take place in , the Plant Invation take place in , and the Back To The Future take place in .

The Season Hunt tokens are Pumpkins ().

In this update, Subway Studio has been updated. The background changed to background, instead of Jake, Tricky, Fresh, and Yutani there are 9 Zoes, and when the surfer runs, then there are 4 Zoes running with the selected character. The Zoes are likely a reference to the famous music video for Thriller by Michael Jackson.
Bob The Blob in their Slime Outfit is seen staring at us standing at a corner in one of the tunnels (tube chunk). This is what SYBO referred to "Bob sighting?!" in the trailer.
- Unlike the actual Bob The Blob's Slime outfit the Bob The Blob seen in the map has the Flower from the Original Outfit in the chest.
The Mystery Hurdles icon changed to a ?.
Bugs and fixes:
- The Flaming Doll board doesn't do the Stay Low animations when you run under a barrier.
- Thursday doesn't have rim light (HD Graphics).
- Scarlett's Botanical Horror Outfit doesn't have rim light (HD Graphics).
- Alfie lost the left ear of his elf costume in the hoverboard selection page. This was fixed in
- Bob The Blob’s skull, cap, flower and a few of their bones disappear and reappear when reselected.
- In Subway Studio, Scarlett's default outfit mesh is replaced by her Catrina Outfit mesh with her default outfit texture.
