Subway Surfers World Tour: Copenhagen 2023 is the 165th update in the World Tour series and the 170th update of Subway Surfers, this update released a new character: Catrine, the leader of the Rivals group and rival of Jake, a new outfit for Zayn: East Vest, and two new boards: Danger Dasher and 11th Birthday.

The Marathon Challenge take place in , the Tag Time Attack take place in , the Rivals Challenge take place , the Hoverboard Challenge take place in , and the Mystery Hurdles take place in .

The Season Hunt tokens are Bicycle ().

This update released two new soundtracks: Rivals Remix and Catrine's Theme.
- The Rivals Remix is the default remix for and used again for the next Rivals Challenge in , and . This would later being a remix for and soundtracks.
- The Subway City Remix is replaced with Catrine's Theme in for the Rivals Challenge Event.
Catrine’s Theme has almost no parts or melodies from the Main Theme except for the part at around 10 seconds, this is the first time this happened.
- If you listen very closely there are some parts from the Rivals Remix also released in this update, but not the Main Theme.
This update celebrates the 11th anniversary of Subway Surfers.
Unlike the other versions, this one is more modern.
This is the 1st time does not have a border in the logo.
This is the first update to not have an ending effect in both soundtracks.
This update reuses the box-cargo trains.
This updates uses the city icon that Mathilde Garreau showed in her city icons collection.
This is the second edition to use the Red Event Coin (), the first being .

A new feature named "Collections" was released in the 3.12.1 update for some users and still was like that in 3.12.2.
- Flying Horse also makes an appearance for the first time in the Collections feature. This board will be released officially in .
A new zone was also added in 3.12.1 update, it is basically a football stadium similar to the ones in and .
This update uses 2 additional special zones: The airport and the stadium.
- The stadium can only appear sometimes when we run across the bridge over the Tivoli Park.
During the Tag Time Attack in the airport area was removed.
The map is based on real life Copenhagen.
Many users didn't get the Collections feature in the 3.12.1 and 3.12.2 updates. It was later released for everyone in .
- The developers announced on their official Discord server that this feature was currently available for a number of users for test purposes.
On May 24th, 2023, if you were in Copenhagen at the time, SYBO decided to do a Hoverboard Hunt to unlock 5 hoverboards for free by scanning QR Codes from the following places in the list below. If you want to know where it is, watch this video, but there is a warning from the video, if you're scanning QR Codes from video as a joke.

- Inside Royal Danish Library aka the Black Diamond unlocks the Beelzebook board.
- Outside blocks building unlocks the Orni board.
- Inside Theory unlocks the Mosaic board.
- At the entrance of Tivoli Park unlocks the Naga board.

The additional zones which were added in the v3.12.1 update, were removed in the update.
