Background Music

The Subway Surfers background music is the theme/soundtrack that plays in background while running as any character. The first soundtrack was different than the Main Theme, but it was still similar. The first soundtrack was the Soundtrack. The first time a fully remixed music was released was in (and was reused in ). The special remixed parts of these soundtracks were short (0:00-0:14), (0:56-1:04), until the update was released, in which every soundtrack began to be fully remixed from that edition onward. Every theme lasts around 2 minutes and 18 seconds (some soundtracks lasts 2 minutes and 20 seconds or more) and then loops.

In the update (in the version 2.20.1), a new feature called the Boombox was released. This allows players to change the background music in the settings of the game if they want.

Trivia

• For unknown reasons, the game's Boombox doesn't have all of the game's songs at the moment.
  • Also, the game's Boombox was introduced during the update.
• The remix was the most altered version of the song (from a rock track to an EDM track).
• The soundtrack is the first theme with vocals, is 2nd, is 3rd, (in 0:48 - 0:56) is 4th, the 5th is , the 6th is , the 7th is , the 8th is , the 9th is , the 10th is , the 11th is , the 12th is , the 13th is , the 14th is , the 15th is all soundtracks, and the 16th is .
• In , the music is either broken, and doesn’t work, or plays a different song, which was fixed later.
• In the remix was removed from the boombox most likely to not cause confusion with the new remix.
• Though half of the full remixes were added to the boombox in the remix still did not return.
• Some editions (I.e or ) had remixes but they were only in the trailers for that edition the original music was used in-game instead.
• is the 1st remix to be used in other editions ( and as a full remix).
• Though most of the remixes came back in . The /, , and remixes were not added.
• In the / soundtrack was renamed from Mexico to Mexico Halloween this was to not get it confused with the / soundtrack which before had the same title.
• In 3.10.1, the Edinburgh 2023 soundtrack was renamed to “Epic Edinburgh” and soundtrack was renamed to “Edinburgh”.
