- Dragon was added to the game on 1 August 2013 with the Subway Surfers World Tour: Beijing. Players could receive this by collecting 60 little dragons at the final week of the Weekly Hunt.
- On 17 September 2014, it reappeared in a Wild Wednesdays event.
- On 18 February 2015, it reappeared in a Wild Wednesdays event, as a Chinese New Year 2015 special.
- On 3 February 2016, it reappeared in a Wild Wednesdays event, as a Chinese New Year 2016 special.
- On 25 January 2017, it reappeared in a Wild Wednesdays event, as a Chinese New Year 2017 special.
- On 20 September 2018, it reappeared in the Hong Kong update as part of the Moon Festival special. In that occasion, Dragon could be unlocked by 30.
