So we know New York 2023 didn't appear as a challenge in San Francisco 2024 even though they were both pride cities and New York was the first-ever city, which disappointed me because I loved the 2023 map and it was great even if it was kinda a generic version of NYC.

I am from NYC, have been my whole life, and I think the reason SYBO didn't add NY 2023 in San Francisco is because tons of teens are doing subway surfing in real life in NY and many people have actually died, even mayor Eric Adams blamed the Subway Surfers game as the reason kids were doing it (which is stupid in my opinion), so I think SYBO didn't release NY 2023 in SF 2024 because it would make SYBO look very bad with the current problem of real subway surfers in NYC going on in real life, in fact when I look up "subway surfers new york" instead of the update I get new articles of kids getting hurt or dying doing subway surfing.

Idk when subway surfing in real life started but it must of been after NY 2023 update in June I think, when I started my like 2nd year of high school they added posters around the school that are telling kids not to subway surf or they'll DIE (yes that's what they really say), and I think it is a citywide thing not just mine and the MTA or school district issues them, any one else know about this? And what is your opinion?

Don't get controversial just yet, hear me out...I believe New York 2023 is the best Pride update in the entire game, here are the reasons why:

Reason #1: The Surfer

Now Rain isn't the best surfer of 2023, but it is a great surfer for a pride update. and Rain isn't actually a bad surfer, Early on, I didn't like this surfer that much but now, I do. Opinions usually change unexpectedly. Overall, great character!

Reason #2: The Board

And here is one of my favourite hoverboards in the entire game (besides Confetti Crush, Alarm On, Aero, Sharpeed, Gingerboom and Ho Ho Hoverboard), this board is amazing. Even by itself without the upgrade, it still isn't boring, it's like a floating shaped that are multi-coloured. But when it is upgraded however, it really stands out. It has a smooth drift ability, which I can see why some people don't like but I don't mind that much, and the trail on the beach is great, gives off Christmas lights kind of vibes!

Reason #3: The Outfit

Okay, I do admit that I don't have this outfit, but I will unlock it in San Francisco 2024 (with Trym’s Noble Newbie Outfit and Callum’s Pink Punk Outfit as well!) It does a great job with the colours all around and the cherry on top is the shirt that says:

“I ♥️ NY”, perfect!

Reason #4: The Music

Okay, you gotta admit the music is amazing, better than the new soundtrack Surf As Yourself from the current Pride update, San Francisco 2024. The music is top-notch, I literally listen to it while playing San Francisco 2024 because it's so good, it's better than the current update’s soundtrack, definitely one of the best in-game soundtracks!

Reason #5: The Map

Last but not least, we gotta talk about the map design because it is stunning. The detailed buildings and the ability to be able to see down below with the streets there is a great touch. I actually don't mind the pride flags planted across the map, I just think it is one of the best designed maps in the whole game!
