I’m not sure how hard this wiki is cracking down on the rules nowadays, but I’d appreciate it if y’all checked out the first chapter of this remake of a fanfic I wrote back in 2021 ✨

Lauren woke up late expecting good morning texts from her boyfriend, Rex. Only to have no texts from him.
"Why was I expecting anything from him? He's ghosted me for a week now," Lauren muttered under her breath as she forced herself out of bed to get ready for the day. She was going out on a date with Rex, but she wasn't exactly looking forward to it. She threw on a sunset orange blouse and light blue, ripped jeans and braided her hair.
"I at least want to look pretty, right?" Lauren glanced at herself in her full-length mirror one last time before going to the bathroom to wash her face and brush her teeth. After that was taken care of, she headed downstairs and put on her white, high-top, Converse shoes.
"Aren't you going to eat something, sis?" Her older sister, Tatianna broke the awkward silence, "you slept pretty late. It's already 2:36 pm." She finished off looking at her phone for the time.
"Nah. Rex and I are going out for brunch, but he hasn't messaged me about where yet." As Lauren finished her sentence, her phone buzzed.
"Is that him?" Tatianna asked while trying to chew her food.
Lauren looked, and to her surprise, it was indeed her boyfriend. She read the message out loud, "Hey, Lauren. Sorry for ghosting you for so long, but we're going to meet up at Denny's. Does that sound good? <3"
"Wait he's been ghosting you?"
"Well, yeah, but he probably just lost his phone or something," Lauren said in denial as she laughed nervously.
"I hate to break it to you, sis, but if Rex is ghosting you, it probably means he doesn't want you anymore."
"But Tay-"
"And I've heard you guys fighting more frequently as well. I'm sorry, but it's about time you two call it good and-"
Before Tatianna could finish her sentence, Lauren had rushed out of the door and loudly slammed it.
"Rex did lose his phone, right, he didn't ghost me on purpose?" Lauren hated the thought of Rex ghosting her and no longer having interest in being with her, as Rex is the first person she's ever dated, and she admittedly had bad attachment issues. But she also made the mistake of being so quick to date Rex, as she also wanted to seem like the other girls at her school and finally have the chance to experience being in a relationship. Little did she know, this would be a huge mistake in the future: it would come with on-and-off dating as they would break up once and then get back together again. It would also come with a lot of fights and a lot of distancing between the two. And something else that would lead to Lauren and Rex splitting for good.
