<p>Amy woke up to the sound of loud banging on her front door. She groggily sat up and buried her head in her hands. Then she tossed her blanket off of her body and headed toward the banging. It was Mimi, and she was out of breath, but she also seemed ecstatic.
"My... My parents said... I could go... with you and Alba to... to the horse show!" She shouted between breaths.
"Woah! Woah! Mimi, hold your horses!" Amy chuckled as soon as she realized what she said. Mimi just cringed at her.
"Well, we don't have much time," she stated, "it's 11:36, and I think the show starts at noon!" "Well, then. We'd better get going!" Amy started up her car, then she and Mimi sped off.
15 minutes later
"Oh no! The show starts in less than 10 minutes, and we still have to find Alba!" Amy panicked, hurrying out of the car and opening Mimi's door for her. "Jeez! Calm down, you simp!" Mimi annoyingly rolled her eyes.
"The term 'simp' only works on men," Amy said as she sped-walked to the white and gold gates of the entrance. There were many western-clad people inside, with brown, white, and even straw cowboy hats and leather vests. A wide-set girl with brown skin, a white blouse and light-brown hat approached Amy and Mimi.
"Hey, Amy! And... Amy's... friend." The girl tipped her hat as she greeted the two. Amy and Mimi just uncomfortably stared at each other for a moment.
"Ugh! It's me, Alba!"
"Oh, sorry! You just look so... different. But in a good way!" Amy corrected herself.
"Uh-huh. And... Who's your friend?"
"My name's Mimi! Me and my sister live right across the street from Ames!" Mimi smiled from ear to ear as she shook Alba's hand frantically.
"So-so, where are we going first?" Amy was flustered as she spat out her words.
"I was thinking we could grab some food, then head straight to the horses!"
Before Amy could say another word, Alba grabbed her hand and started running as Mimi was desperate to catch up. Then the three came across a concession stand, where barbecue foods such as burgers, hot dogs, and even funnel cake was being served.
"You two can go on and sit down," Alba started, "I'll get all of us some burgers and fries!" "But I'm a vegetarian!" Mimi protested.
"Then you can have a veggie burger!"
Mimi and Amy sat on a nearby bench as Alba got into the extended line and patiently waited.
"What's so appealing about her, anyway?" Mimi looked Amy dead in the eye as she asked.
"I don't know! There are so many things about Alba that I love!"
"Like what? And don't talk about looks!"
"Well, she's just so confident, and she doesn't give a crap about what others think about her! I also love how brave she is; she's not scared of anything, at least what I know of! Oh, and she's also so-"
"Alright, simp-ette!" Mimi cut her rant off. "You can shut up about Miss Token-Girl n-"
Mimi immediately stopped speaking as Alba approached them with a tray of warm food.
"Dinner- er, I mean... lunch is served!" Alba set the tray down, and all three girls took their food and started eating.
"So, Alba, I have to tell you something." Amy bashfully said.
Alba loudly swallowed her food, then replied, "There's no time! We have to get going!"
"But we barely ate any f-" "The lines are going to get impossibly long if we don't get going! Now let's go!"
Mimi tagged along laggingly as Amy whispered "Don't act like a bum: we're doing this for Alba. We're doing this for me! We're doing this for us!"
"Alright. Sorry," Mimi let out a long sigh. Amy's heart jumped into her throat as the trio approached a line for the horseback riding session.
Do I tell Alba that I can't ride horses? No, I can't do that! Then I'll never have a chance with her! But what if she finds out? Won't that be even worse? What do I do? "Hey, Amy," Alba lightly touched Amy's arm, "Are you okay? You seem really nervous."
"Y-y-yeah. I'm fine. It's... Its just been a while since I've rode a horse."
Mimi face-palmed as Amy continued to tell white lies.
"C'mon, ladies!" The horse-keeper untied two of the horses, "you're next!"
"Mimi, stay right here! We'll be back."
"Alrighty," Mimi rested her elbows on the outside of the gate as Alba effortlessly climbed on her brown-and-white horse. She noticed that Amy struggled to get onto her horse.
"Amy... Do you need help?" "Alba..." Amy started. "I have to tell you something!"
"Yes?"
"I-I... I don't know how to ride hor- Aaaah!!" Amy shrieked loudly as she fell off of her horse. "Amy!" Alba jumped off her ride to Amy's aid. "I'm sorry, Alba. I... I can't ride horses."
"Oh, Amy! You could've just told me that to begin with!"
"Well, the thing is, I... I like you more than a friend, Alba! I've liked you for quite a while, now!" Alba was dead silent as her hands covered her mouth.
"I understand. You don't like me back... That's okay. I completely underst-"
Alba kissed Amy on the cheek as she blushed like mad! "I'm just speechless; I like you too, Amy." "Alright, ladies! You're holding up the line here!" the horse-keeper said as he tied up the horses. Alba and Amy walked out of the gate holding hands and giggling at each other.
"So... You confessed?" Mimi smirked at the two girls as they looked at each other. "Yes, we did," Alba replied.
"S-so, are we... you know, officially dating?" Amy blushed.
"I guess so." Alba said as she and Amy pecked on the lips as Mimi held back immense joy.
"Yesss!! Woo-hoo! I knew you two would eventually get together!" Mimi jumped up and down as she cheered. Alba and Amy smiled at each other, then them and Mimi walked out as Alba put her arm around Amy.
"Wait, it's only 2 o'clock!" Mimi broke the moment. "Oh, yeah, there's still 6 hours until this is over!" Alba stated. Then her and her newfound girlfriend turned back to continue their day of fun.
