So Washington D.C. is supposed to release any minute now in the App Store so that just made me realize...

It is the first legacy destination and we are literally half way through the year.

Now honestly, I think we should’ve already gotten one or two before hand since SYBO promised it in their ‘Things To Come In 2025’ video but this year has been mostly disappointing.

I think they will follow in the footsteps of last year now with two legacies in August and a new destination in September with July having a re-release.

But the flower board in the new update (even though it's a Washington D.C. board) kinda reminds me of Amsterdam so yeah.

I think in August we may get Prague or Rome or even both, but I think we will get North Pole this year again which I am honestly fine with it although I wanted the Winter Holiday night-themed variation.

I can mark Hammy-Bee and Vivienne off my wishlist 🤭🩷

The next few cities give me 40 which is only enough for 80 - 105 and you can't replay cities or continue collecting suitcases after 10 have been collected, so how am I supposed to get them all- with money? I don't want to spend money on a mobile game

Here is my theory about four updates that are paired up.

So, in Easter Ireland (4th update), there was a new Fast and Festive board and a new Holi Outfit for Moira. I think this was an early release prior to Mumbai Holi. Also, SYBO used the Mumbai 2022 map instead because they didn't finish the new map yet. And, now a similar thing happened in Underwater 2024 (6th update). There was a new Koinobori board and a new Seaside Outfit for Cathy. I think this was an early release prior to Osaka (Golden Week). Also, SYBO used the Tokyo 2023 map instead because they didn't finish the new map yet. Then, here we are in 2025! Moira's Holi Outfit returns for Mumbai Holi (4th update), but Fast and Festive never returned. Cathy's Visual Kei Outfit returns for Osaka (6th update), instead of her Seaside Outfit, but Koinobori never returned.

I would update it, but I'm not an admin.

This is where I want them to visit after, beginning from the update after Osaka of course which is basically happening, guaranteed.

Mid May, Birthday Update: Super Runner City

Early June, Pride Update: São Paulo

Late June, New Update: Pirate Adventure

Mid July, Ordinary Update: Houston

This is just my version but I'd love to see this actually happen although it's unlikely.

The new update trailer released, and it already is one of my favourite updates of all time.

2025 was awful so far, so this is actually a good thing and they are finally back on track with a new destination.

The thing is, I thought it was Edinburgh with the Easter theme but maybe for a special event! This update is PERFECT, surprised they didn't show the Easter surfers tho!

If Underwater is used again, I think it might be the 8th update for this year (after the 13th anniversary update which is usually the 7th update). Here is the pattern from the previous years below:

2023: Lunar New Year, Oxford, Barcelona, Underwater (4th update)

2024: Shenzhen Showdown, Greece Love Odyssey, Vegas Queens, Easter Ireland, Marrakesh, Underwater (6th update)

2025: Year of the Snake, Aloha Hawaii, Rio Carnival, Mumbai Holi, update 5, update 6, 13th Birthday update, Underwater (8th update)

These are just predictions, but they are the few characters that I believe are the most likely to receive outfits from least likely to most likely.

Okay, this teaser shows a location from Hawaii, it's easy to tell by the water, the rock and the palm tree. I think no one has any questions about the next update — it's Hawaii 2025! Hali will get an outfit, because the Rivals get their first outfit every two updates (Catrine Trail Mix in Vancouver, then two updates later Lawrence Snowballer in Vienna, and then there will be Hawaii, where Hali was originally released)

The update starts on January 27th and ends... It's not so easy to determine here, because if there is a normal three-week update, it will cover Saint Valentine's Day, which is quite strange because Hawaii wouldn't fit the theme at all.

But wait! Iceland 2024 was a TWO-WEEK update, and I think Hawaii 2025 is too. In that case, the third update of 2025 on February 10th will be dedicated to Saint Valentine's Day, and Valentina will release there. I see more logic here (Although, considering how much sybo doesn't care about dates, like Chinese New Year on January 29th, which we celebrate in the Luoyang 2025 update that will end EARLIER!!!). Also sybo said that Valentina will release in February, that is, not on January 27th.

This update literally has everything behind a paywall! The coolest bundles and characters are all costing real money!

And to make matters worse, the outfit prices changed drastically, although keys are already incredibly difficult to obtain.

This update is a major step down from Winter Wonderland, and I am going to say it...

Lunar New Year is the best Chinese New Year update now, this is just terrible.

I already knew it was disappointing as the trailer showed, but this is just an incredible disappointment.

Hope Hawaii will be great, and I am actually excited for the next update to be honest with ya!

Overall, the update is 3/10 for me, it gets a boost as the content is decent enough. 🤷🏻‍♂️
