My theories about this teaser

1 It's a collab with Pokemon

This is the least likely due to how strict Nintendo is with its collaborations.

In case it was a collaboration with Pokemon then the location would be in Kyoto because that's where Nintendo Japan's HQ is located.

2 It's just a Parody

Maybe it's just a parody or something similar to what Thursday in Haunted Hood was

And maybe this update will only have one character but it will be a new destination (Osaka or Kyoto)

I hope it’s a collab with Pokémon, because Nintendo might sue Subway Surfers if it’s a parody.

^Nintendo be like:

I hope it's just a reference to pokemon since the next update is in Japan and it will be anime themed. I don't want a collab tbh

If it's a collaboration I hope it's original characters and not just variants of the main team.

Tbh as a Pokémon fan myself, I can't trust this 😓 Anyways if this is true I might stop playing Subway Surfers until this event ends cuz I'm shy AF,,,
